4 recipes for nutritious baby compotes

If you have been a mother or father and your baby is already a few months old, it is quite likely that you have already noticed one thing: depending on the pediatrician, the beginning of solid and complementary feeding will begin sooner or later. In the same way it also depends if the little one is or is not taking breast milk.

So, for example, if the baby is not taking breast milk and only feeds on formula milk (also known as complementary milk), the most common is to start eating the first fruits from the fourth month of age, whereas if it continues with breast milk it is common to delay this beginning until six months.

And you know what they are the first fruits of the baby? The most recommended are those that are easy to digest, easily assimilated, have a mild and sweet taste and also have a low risk of causing allergies or intolerances. In this group we can mention mainly the pear, a very complete fruit rich in amino acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids; the Apple, rich in fiber, water, vitamins and minerals; and the banana, very rich in carbohydrates and easy to digest.

At the time of beginning to introduce the fruit, it is best to start offering baby single fruit porridge, continuing for 3 or 4 days to observe if any intolerance or allergy occurs and to discover if the baby likes it. After those days we can add another different fruit, and do the same again: wait 3 or 4 more days. For example, if we start with the banana, then try the pear and then the apple.
