Adequate duration of physical exercise
We know many of the benefits of the exercise, mainly because it is an extremely beneficial activity for health, especially for those people who tend to practice it on a daily basis or, at least, three times a week.
However, although many of its most interesting benefits and virtues are known (for example, it is useful in preventing diabetes, it is good against high cholesterol and helps maintain good health), many people are unaware how long should physical activity last?.
How long should physical exercise last?
Although the ideal is that the physical exercise be practiced for about 40 minutes, the truth is that it should not be less than 20 minutes. Although, of course, the time will depend on the physical activity we have chosen and its intensity.
Thus, for example, if we practice a physical exercise of low or moderate intensity (as in the case of brisk walking, swimming or riding a bicycle), the exercise should be practiced between 40 and 60 minutes.
