  • 100 gr. of barley grains
  • 1 l. of water
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 slice of lemon
  • To sweeten: honey, brown sugar or whole cane sugar

Preparation

  1. Put the barley grains in a colander and wash them under the water tap.
  2. Put the liter of water in a saucepan along with the barley grains, and bring to a boil.
  3. Once it begins to boil, lower the heat and simmer until the grains are tender.
  4. Finally strain the water, sweeten to taste, add cinnamon and lemon and drink when cold.

How to take barley water?
