Cervical pain: main causes

Surely at some point in your life you will have felt Back pain, or discomfort directly related to this part of the body, so "abused" on many occasions.

On the causes of appearance, although in a certain sense there can be many, the reality is that we can summarize them in: traumatic overload as a result of a bad or excessive lifting of heavy loads, or because of bad postures (due to work and / or study ), which little by little tends to cause discomfort and pain.

In the case of cervical pain, there is no doubt that we are facing a related problem, whose causes ultimately tend to be very similar to those that, for example, cause the onset of back pain.

Causes that cause cervical pain

Bad position when sleeping

It is usually one of the most common causes, as a consequence of sleeping badly with a posture that has not been very good, such as sleeping face down, which causes the neck to be in excessive twisting.

We must remember that one of the best positions to sleep properly is one in which we rest on our side, with our hands in front of the body and our legs slightly bent.

Bad sitting posture

Whether in front of the computer, or simply studying or working, is another of the most common causes that cause the annoying neck pain.

It is essential to always sit correctly, placing your back to the back of the chair and standing firm, without falling into it.

Certain chronic diseases

There are certain chronic diseases, and pains in the bones, that little by little and with the passage of time can cause cervical pain, when they become more annoying.

They are arthritis or osteoarthritis, herniated discs or fibromyalgia.

Traffic accidents

They become one of those directly responsible for common injuries in the neck, as a consequence of what is known as cervical whiplash, caused by the sudden blow with the car.
