With all the time of the day at your disposal, it would be a real crime to go to fast food restaurants, because their menus are fried with poor quality oils and foods contain a lot of saturated fats.

In this sense, an optimal way to enjoy a healthy vacation, and also to pamper and take care of our health from the inside, is following a balanced and healthy diet, based on the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. In fact, it is an ideal time to enjoy excellent refreshing salads.

Also juices and natural drinks can be useful to refresh ourselves in these days, as it can be the case of infusions or cold teas, that besides mitigating the heat that we can feel, they provide depurative properties that help our body to eliminate those toxins that does not need.

How to enjoy a healthy vacation

If you stay in a hotel, avoid breakfast full of calories, tempting as they may be, try to choose fruit or cereal if you do not want to return with a few extra kilos.

When you go to restaurants, remember that you do not need to eat the whole serving, but only until you feel satisfied. The option of sharing very large portions is also ideal to complete your route of the day without feeling too heavy.

If you spend your vacation in an apartment, you're in luck, because you're already in Berlin, Istanbul or New York; supermarkets will always have what you need to prepare your salads and light sandwiches that you can carry in your backpack. Preparing your meals from your accommodation you will always eat much cheaper and of better quality.

Do not forget to eat two pieces of fruit every day and drink at least 2 liters of water to avoid dehydration, sugar drops and constipation.
