How many calories does seafood contribute?

Who has not ever enjoyed a good seafood dish? The truth is that we are facing one of the most sought after seafood products, which tend to increase its price in a certainly considerable way when certain dates of the year are approaching (as in the case of Christmas, now that we are almost at the gates of that officially arrive), precisely because it is a product that is very appreciated by gastronomy.

From a nutritional point of view it is a low fat food, but exceptionally rich both in water and in proteins of high biological value. In addition, it provides vitamins and minerals, highlighting above all phosphorus, calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, magnesium and iodine. However, as a counterpart, its purine content stands out, which, when it reaches our bodies when it is metabolized, turns into uric acid, hence the consumption of these foods is not recommended in people who have high uric acid levels.

For this reason, even if we do not have high levels of uric acid, it is advisable not to exceed our consumption, always eating it in moderation.
