How much vitamin C brings a glass of orange juice

Although both orange and orange juice itself is popularly known for its contribution to vitamin C, the reality is that it is not precisely one of the foods with the highest content and contribution in this vitamin.

Not in vain, how many times we will not have heard the succinct phrase "take all the orange juice, which is very rich in vitamin C". This is a real date, because as we will see throughout this article a glass of orange juice contributes 100% of the recommended daily amount in this vitamin, but it is not true that this fruit is one of the foods that most Vitamin C contributes.

Previously it was believed that orange juice lost its content in vitamin C after 15 or 20 minutes after having prepared it. However, this is an erroneous approach, since new studies carried out recently have shown that it is not true. Of course, we must bear in mind that vegetables lose up to 50% of this vitamin when they are cooked.
