How to lower the swelling after extraction of wisdom teeth

The cordales are the third molar, which tend to appear between 16 and 25 years. For this reason they also receive the name of wisdom teeth, because it is the age at which the person has a more developed own judgment.

First hours after tooth extraction

During the first two hours, placing compresses of ice or a little ice rolled with a cloth on the side of the extraction face will help reduce inflammation.

It is advisable to apply this local cold for 5 minutes, resting 15 minutes, then put the compress another 5 minutes and resting another 15 minutes, and so on for 2 hours.

Recommendations for the following days

Swelling may be common during the first 48 to 72 hours.

After applying the cold for the first 2 hours, we must proceed to the application of moist heat after 24 hours have elapsed (1 day after extraction).

To do this, you can heat a little water and soak a cloth, which you will place on the side of the face where the swelling is for 5 minutes, resting 15, and so on.
