How to make cubes of dark chocolate and chestnuts
The autumn He has without doubt many wonderful things. After a few months of very hot heat comes the cold, colder temperatures, nature changes in orange and brown colors, and the change of season invites us to internalize and think about ourselves.
We also find wonderful things in the diet. For example, the most characteristic and popular autumn foods reach us: figs, persimmons, mushrooms, tangerines ... And chestnuts.
And is that, who has not ever cooked at home the popular roasted chestnuts? Probably we are in front of one of those typical recipes of this time, especially in the afternoons when it is much colder in the streets.
As you surely know, Chestnuts are delicious nuts full of nutritious benefits. For example, they stand out in particular for their high content of B vitamins, which together with their mineral content (especially in potassium, phosphorus and magnesium) and carbohydrates give them very interesting energy qualities during these months, becoming well in an ideal food against autumnal asthenia.
Although they can be eaten alone, the truth is that consumed in excess and also raw can be very indigestible. So a good option (besides not consuming them in excess and always in small quantities), is to use them to make delicious sweet desserts.
A good example are the bizcochitos that we propose to you on this occasion, very easy to do, and where we will find an exquisite dark chocolate that combines almost perfectly with them. Do you dare to prepare them? The process is really simple. So much that you will not even notice.
Recipe for making biscuits or chocolate and chestnut treats
Ingredients:
- 400 gr. of chestnuts
- 120 gr. of dark chocolate
- 100 gr. of liquid cream
- 100 gr. of icing sugar (powder)
- Orange zest
preparation:
Wash an orange well, dry it and rake it, reserving the peel. Chop the dark chocolate into several pieces. Now put a saucepan in the water bath, add the chopped black chocolate and the liquid cream. Heat the fire. Remove from time to time until the chocolate has melted, and then continue mixing carefully until you get a soft cream (it is very important that the water does not boil).
Peel the chestnuts carefully, remove their skin and put them in the glass of the blender. Then grind them well.
Now add the cream of chocolate and cream, sugar icing and orange zest, and mix everything well.
Grease a mold about 15 centimeters in diameter. Pour the pasta and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours.
Ready! When serving it, it is advisable to serve it in small cubes, in the same way as if it were a brownie.
