Among these amino acids we can mention tryptophan, methionine, cysteine, cystine and lysine. From a nutritional point of view noted for its high protein value, besides being very rich in vitamins (especially vitamins B, C and E) and minerals (phosphorus, calcium and iron). Further, It also provides soluble fiber and essential fatty acids, which stand out for being excellent to enjoy good cardiovascular health.

How to make quinoa burgers at home?

Ingredients needed

  • 1 cup of quinoa
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 onions
  • 7 tablespoons of oat flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • Parsley
  • Garlic
  • Thyme
  • Oregano
  • Bread crumbs
  • Salt
  • 3 glasses of water
  • Olive oil

Steps to make quinoa burgers

First of all we should start putting the quinoa grains to boil. To do this, put in a saucepan or saucepan 1 quinoa ratio for 3 of water, and let it boil, cooking it as rice usually cooks without adding salt (let boil for 20 minutes). After this time, strain and reserve in the saucepan.

Meanwhile, peel the onions and the clove of garlic and cut them into pieces. Wash the parsley. Place the eggs, the onions, the garlic clove, the parsley, a pinch of salt, the oregano and the thyme in the bowl of the blender (or in a wide bowl, whichever is most comfortable). Beat everything until all the ingredients are integrated.

Now add the cooked quinoa to the mixture that we have churned. Mix everything with the help of a wooden spoon. Add the tablespoons of oat flakes.

Wash the carrot, peel and rake it over the previous mixture. Stir and wait 1 to 2 minutes for all the ingredients to integrate well. Now add the bread crumbs in the amount you consider appropriate, so that the dough takes body.

Put more breadcrumbs on a large plate. Give the dough shapes of small hamburgers, and pass them through the bread crumbs, on both sides.

Put extra virgin olive oil in a pan and when it is hot fry the hamburgers in it a bit. Ready!.
