How to make your own homemade puffed rice pancakes (whole and not)

What are rice pancakes?

Recipe for homemade puffed rice pancakes

Ingredients:
- 70 g. of white rice
- 3 teaspoons of sesame seeds dessert
- 200 ml. of water
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make the puffed rice pancakes:
- Put the white rice in a colander and place it under the water jet, to wash it for a few seconds.
- Then put the water in a saucepan, add the white rice and put it on low heat, letting it cook for 35-40 minutes. It is important that the rice is pasty and without water.
- Reserve the rice now allowing it to cool to room temperature. Once the rice is cold add the sesame seeds, and mix a little with the help of a wooden spoon.
- Now is the time to shape the pancakes. To do this, put the rice in your hand and form balls, then flatten them until they are flat and round.
- Then, to finish cooking them, we can use two options: either brown them in the pan with a little olive oil, or else do it in the microwave. If you opt for the microwave, you just have to paint the base of the dish with a little olive oil (to avoid sticking), and leave in the microwave at 600W for 5 minutes, on each side (ie, 10 minutes in total).

- Once the rice is cold, add the sesame seeds and mix a little.
- Now is the time to shape our pancakes. To do this, put the rice in your hand and form balls, then flatten them until they are flat and round.
- Put a pinch of olive oil in a pan, place the pancakes and let them heat a little until golden brown. Then turn them around and do the same with the other part.
