This time we are going, first of all, to learn to elaborate a traditional lentil pate, without adding any ingredient beyond the lentils and those necessary to provide flavor and aroma.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr of cooked lentils
  • 1/4 of chives
  • 1 garlic
  • Cumin
  • Half lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Ground black pepper
  • Mustard powder
  • Thyme
  • Oregano
  • Salt to taste

Preparation of the traditional lentil pate:

First let's cook the lentils if you have not done it before. To do this, put water in a large saucepan until you cover the lentils, add a little salt to taste and let it cook until tender. Then remove the water by cutting them and reserve the cooked lentils.

The curried lentil pate that we propose now becomes an ideal recipe for those who enjoy aromatic dishes and a certain strong flavor, thus constituting a Hindu dish par excellence.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr of cooked lentils
  • 1 garlic
  • 1/4 chive
  • Half lemon juice
  • Curry (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper
  • Cumin
  • Mustard powder
  • Parsley
  • 1 small twig of celery
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt

Preparation of lentil curried pate:

As you will see, the steps we follow in the preparation of this pâté are practically the same as those we followed on the previous occasion, with the difference that in this case we will also use curry and celery.

For this we will start cooking the lentils if we do not have them already cooked. Then peel the garlic and cut it into pieces, and do the same with celery and onion.
