Physical exercise helps patients with eating disorders

We know, as we saw in previous days in NatureVia, that sport and exercise offers a number of benefits to our body, especially if we practice regularly between 2 and 3 times a week.

But now we must add another virtue, as we have been able to know just a few days ago.

And it seems that sport, as reported by the Institute of Eating Disorders of Barcelona (ITA), allows sufferers of eating disorders ( TCA) recover healthy lifestyle habits, in addition to strengthening their social relationships through, for example, teamwork.

It should be borne in mind that, to a certain extent, for these people sports can become a real problem, practiced both obsessively and compulsively to lose weight.

However, when patients have stabilized their weight and they have worked in such a way that they do not see sport as an option to lose weight, but as a way to maintain a healthy lifestyle, this can be practiced therapeutically.
