What is Efferalgan and what is it used for?

It belongs to the group of medicines known as analgesics Y antipyretics, being indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain of moderate intensity, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, headaches, dysmenorrhea, dental pain and musculoskeletal pain. It is also used in case of febrile states. That is, it is a drug especially useful to avoid pain in catarrhs and flu, headaches, toothaches and migraines.
Presents a good gastric tolerance. However, it should be taken with caution if there are liver problems. It is a drug that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, cellular mediators responsible for the onset of pain.
What is the Efferalgan good for?
Efferalgan is a medicine used in the following conditions, especially for the treatment of pain in case of:
- Arthrosis
- Rheumatoid arthritis.
- Headaches, migraines and headaches.
- Dental pains
- Musculoskeletal pain in case of colds and flu.
- Febrile states.
- Dysmenorrhea
There is a variant known by the name of Efferalgan Otis, which is especially indicated for inflammations and pain in the ears and throat.
In relation to the dosage of this drug, it is one tablet of 1 gram every 12 hours, and in very extreme cases 1 tablet of 1 gram every 6 hours.
