Fundamentally we can find two broad groups of medical treatments:

  • Pharmacotherapy: such as birth control pills, intrauterine contraceptives (IUD), hormonal therapies, antifibrinolytic medications (which help reduce the amount of bleeding), or ibuprofen (to relieve pain).
  • Surgical treatment: such as curettage, surgical hysteroscopy, ablation or endometrial resection and hysterectomy.

How to relieve excessive menstrual bleeding

From a natural point of view it is possible to relieve and treat excessive menstrual bleeding, as long as there is no serious medical disorder or illness that causes it:

  • Infusion for heavy menstruation: you can make an infusion with 30 grams of marigold flowers and 10 grams of sage flowers. It is advisable to take this infusion twice a day, 7 days a month for a maximum of 3 months in a row.
  • Calming fluid extract: in a bowl mix 35 ml. of wonder fluid extract and 20 ml of sage fluid extract. Pour 45 drops of this mixture in water and take it 2 times a day.
