3 recipes with dill to flavor your recipes
On a previous occasion we have provided information about the benefits and properties of both medicinal and culinary dill. Used since ancient times, with the Eneldo we can season salads, fish, meats, and prepare many recipes for food.
And there is no doubt that dill stands out - and surprises - for being an excellent natural option when it comes to flavoring a wide variety of dishes, thanks to its characteristic and particular aroma and the flavor it gives our recipes.
For example, a characteristic dish is to accompany the salmon with dill, or even make an exquisite sweet mustard sauce with dill. Both are classic and traditional options that undoubtedly never fail. But there are also other equally delicious ones that we want to talk to you about.
Then we provide 3 easy recipes to prepare with Eneldo to flavor or accompany your favorite dishes.
How to make a dill sauce for fish
This dill sauce is very easy to prepare and with it the fish dishes will be very tasty, since the dill brings its characteristic flavor.
To prepare this recipe it is better to make it with fresh dill, in case of not obtaining it we can resort to dry dill.
Ingredients:
- 150 ml. of cooking cream.
- 100 ml. milk.
- 6 teaspoons chopped dill.
- One onion.
- A teaspoon of butter without salt.
- The juice of half a lemon.
- A pinch of ground black pepper.
- Extra virgin olive oil (to poach the onion).
- Salt.
Preparation of the sauce:
Remove the skin from the onion, cut it into pieces and put it to poach. When the onion is ready, we turn off the fire. Put the poached onion in the blender jar.
Add the onion, milk, cream, lemon juice, butter, a pinch of salt, the ground black pepper, the teaspoons of Eneldo and grind everything together.
We have the Eneldo sauce in a bowl and take it to the table to put it on top of the fish we have prepared that day.
Dill oil
Dill oil or flavored with dill is very easy to prepare. To prepare the dill oil we will need fresh dill and virgin olive oil.
Ingredients:
- 3 branches of fresh Dill.
- 350 ml. of virgin olive oil.
Elaboration:
We wash the branches of Dill well and dry them. We put the olive oil in a previously sterilized glass jar. Introduce the branches of Dill into the oil so that they are well submerged.
We close the pot well and store it in the pantry in a dark place so that it does not give light. We let the Eneldo oil marinate for a month.
After the month we uncovered the boat and squeezed the oil. Once cast, we will keep it in a sterile glass jar with a hermetic seal.
With the Eneldo oil we can dress salads, add it to the sauces, season fish or meat dishes, pasta dishes.
