Black tea with almond milk: recipe and benefits

As you surely know there are different varieties of tea that provide not only a wide variety of benefits and properties both curative and preventive, but also give us the ability to enjoy different flavors and aromas depending on whether their leaves have been or not oxidized, and depending on the moment in which they have been collected. In the case of black tea we find a type of tea that has greater oxidation, compared to other varieties such as for example green tea, white tea or known as oolong tea (or blue tea).

All of them are prepared from leaves of the tea plant, known scientifically with the name of Camellia sinensis. However, the greater oxidation of its leaves makes us face a tea with a greater amount of caffeine, a slightly softer flavor and a much stronger aroma. For this reason it has the advantage that its leaves retain their flavor perfectly for some years, while green tea and other varieties end up losing after 12 months.

When preparing it at home we must keep in mind that it is not the same to make a green tea drink than black tea, since both the temperature of the water to be infused and the time will vary. For example, in the case of black tea it is advisable not to exceed 90ºC of temperature and infuse between 3 to 5 minutes.

We only have to place in an infuser (utensil where the tea is infused without letting its leaves come out) 1 tablespoon of black tea dessert per cup, place it in the teapot and when the water reaches 90ºC of temperature pour it. We will only have to leave the tea in infusion a maximum of 5 minutes, and serve in cups.

But what if we use some special variety of black tea, as for example is the case of Darjeeling tea and we make a wonderful drink with almond vegetable drink? We explain what ingredients you need and the steps to make it easily at home.

How to make a delicious black almond tea

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of Darjeeling tea
  • 2 glasses of almond milk
  • 1 liter of water
  • Brown sugar or brown sugar

Elaboration:

First, put water in a saucepan and when it reaches the boiling point, pour it into the teapot to warm it. Meanwhile, put the amount of water indicated in the saucepan and without letting it boil, heat until it reaches 90ºC of temperature.

Remove the hot water from the teapot taking care not to burn yourself. While the water is heated put the Darjeeling tea in an infuser and place it inside the teapot.

When the water reaches the indicated temperature, pour it into the teapot. Leave in infusion for a maximum of 5 minutes (depending on whether you want the flavor more or less strong, remember that ideally in a black tea is between 3 to 5 minutes).

Serve the tea in cups and add the almond milk as you want more or less. To finish, if you want sweeten it.
