How many calories the meat brings
When we talk about calories, we refer above all to the amount of energy that the food contributes; that is, it is used or used as an index to measure the energy provided by the ingested food, which in turn allows the development of adequate diets according to the person's objective (for example, low-calorie or low-calorie diets allow the loss of body weight in those who have excess weight).
Although it is true that when a diet is followed if we usually consult the calories provided by a certain food, we can run the risk of becoming obsessed (actually spending most of the time consulting the nutritional label of the foods we plan to buy in the supermarket), It is always useful and recommended to have an approximate idea about the caloric intake of those food groups that we consume regularly.
In the case of meat we are from a nutritional point of view with foods especially rich in proteins of high biological value, since they provide the majority of necessary essential amino acids. In fact, it is estimated that 20% is protein. However, when we talk about calories, we must take into account not only the energy contribution that meat has in itself, but also those that will be included depending on the cooking method we choose.
