How to make a delicious rice horchata

To prepare the rice horchata we will need to have a blender.

Ingredients:

  • A cup of raw rice.
  • 500 ml. From mineral water.
  • 500 ml. of whole milk or skimmed milk.
  • A cinnamon stick
  • The seeds of a vanilla pod.
  • The skin of a lemon without the white parts.
  • 150 grams of sugar.
  • A teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  • A bit of ground cinnamon for presentation.
  • Ice minced, to serve (optional).

Elaboration:

  1. We start by washing the rice well several times until it is clean. In a deep bowl or bowl we put the washed rice and half the water.
  2. Add the skin of the lemon, the seeds of the vanilla pod, the cinnamon stick, and let the rice rest in the refrigerator for about 3 hours.
