Spring fruits

Although it is true that, today, we can find a certain amount of fruits practically all year round, there are also those that are called as seasonal fruits.

Seasonal fruits are fruits that we can only consume in a certain season of the year, whether spring, summer, autumn or winter. In this sense, for example, we have already known what the autumn fruits and the winter fruits.

However, spring stands out as a special season, because it means the arrival of light after the darkness of winter (which, by the way, is just as wonderful), and Nature offers us unique, excellent landscapes.

Which are the spring fruits? Is that fruits we can find in such a wonderful and beautiful time as is the spring?

  • Strawberries
    It is a fruit very rich in vitamins, such as vitamin C and folic acid, and minerals such as iodine, iron, potassium, magnesium. Therefore, it is ideal as a depurative and to strengthen bones, helping positively against fluid retention and to maintain a healthy skin.
  • Medlars
    It is rich in potassium and sodium, which is why it is recommended for people who are following a diet of weight loss, due to its low caloric content. It is also an antidiarrheal, diuretic, astringent and regulator of intestinal functions, and helps lower high cholesterol levels.
  • Cantaloupe
    In this fruit we find vitamin A and E, a low caloric content and a large amount of water. It is useful when losing weight and to eliminate toxins by being diuretic, laxative, and prevents the onset of cancer.
  • Cherries
    It is a good depurative, helping in cases of constipation, obesity, arthritis and arteriosclerosis. In addition, it is recommended in cases of rheumatism and different gastric disorders. It is a fruit low in fat and calories, so its consumption is ideal even in weight loss diets, as well as within a daily diet, varied and balanced.
